Your Privacy is Very Important to us!
Like most website operators, AmpleTech collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. AmpleTech’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how AmpleTech’s visitors use its websites. From time to time, AmpleTech may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its websites.
AmpleTech also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. AmpleTech does not use such information to identify its visitors, and does not disclose such information other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors to AmpleTech’s websites choose to interact with AmpleTech in ways that require AmpleTech to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that AmpleTech gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who use our facilities to provide a username and email address. In each case, AmpleTech collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfil the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with AmpleTech. AmpleTech does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website related activities.
AmpleTech may collect statistics about the behaviour of visitors to its websites. For instance, AmpleTech may reveal how many downloads a particular item got or other statistics about most popular products. However, AmpleTech does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
AmpleTech discloses potentially personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on AmpleTech’s behalf or to provide services available at AmpleTech’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose or use it otherwise. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using AmpleTech’s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. AmpleTech will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying information to anyone, unless it is part of a business transfer, as described below.
Other than to its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations, as described above AmpleTech discloses potentially personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when AmpleTech believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of AmpleTech, third parties, or the public at large.
If you are a registered user of a AmpleTech website and have supplied your email address, AmpleTech may occasionally send you an email to tell you about the facility and changes or new features added to it, or to solicit your feedback about the facility, or just keep you up to date with major developments at AmpleTech. We primarily use our blogs or on-site notices to communicate this type of information, so it is unlikely that you will receive this type of email communication, unless you subscribed to a specific service with an option to unsubscribe whenever you wish to do so.
If you send us a request (for example via a support facility or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it without your contact details in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users.
AmpleTech takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of potentially personally-identifying information.
AmpleTech may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including subscription services in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy. However such transactions will be announced publically at least 30 days in advance and the details will be published prominently on the affected facility.
